NinjaBee released the first screenshots and info about their upcoming Xbox Live Arcade action-adventure platformer, Ancients of Ooga. A release date has not yet been announced, but it is expected sometime in 2010.

Dreams do come true as Hudson Entertainment partners with PlayFirst to bring the award-winning Dream Chronicles to consoles beginning this Spring. The stylized adventure game licensed through PlayFirst is coming to Xbox Live Arcade for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation Network for the PlayStation3 computer entertainment system.

Konami today released character art for Rocket Knight, a new 2.5D sequel to Konami’s classic action adventure series currently in development for Xbox Live Arcade. Included in the new screens is the franchise’s iconic hero, Sparkster, striking a pose and ready for action. Then there’s the dastardly Axel Gear, who looks quite suspicious. It seems that he’s replaced Sparkster as the hero of Zephyrus. Also featured is General Sweinhart giving a rousing speech to inspire the Zephyrians to war.

Forecasting and Analyzing Digital Entertainment, LLC (FADE) has released its annual report for 2009 for the Xbox Live Arcade market. FADE estimates that XBLA just broke the $100 million USD mark for the year ending 2009, at $103.4 million - a 34% increase from the year prior. Top titles include the fastest selling XBLA title of all time 'Battlefield 1943' which sold over 800,000 copies in the year. According to FADE's forthcoming annual XBLA report, average price of XBLA titles increased rapidly during the year - from a $8.33 average in 2008 to $9.12 in 2009. This increase was strongly reflected in the top 10 list by revenue, with half of the titles featured at or near the $15 price point.
