WispLisp Array of List

The fudge is up with that title? Trust me, my dears, I thought the same thing... then I was transported to some kind of fluffy dream world on the verge of a nightmare with flying sheep, purple fireballs and melted potato-like faces being thrown my way. It wasn't a dream world in the *Axel & Pixel* sense, of course, but you know what? I quite enjoyed being there. Other than straight away thinking "Oh great, it's a Japanese game and I'm going to have no idea what's going on," which was true to an extent, I couldn't help but think that this is EXACTLY what *Sky Ninja War* should have been: enjoyable. In *WispLisp Array of List* (obviously a bad translation), you take on the role of an unnamed white dress and hat-wearing flying witch-type schoolgirl with a vengeance, or seemingly so... As soon as you press 'GAME START', you're there, right in the flying side-scrolling action, without any kind of sexy introduction full of shitty anime characters and explosions or whatever. Nope, none of that. Just 'BOOM!' and it's action time. You have to grab your bearings pretty quickly - which may seem damn near impossible - because you're pounded with a flurry of sheep and purple orbs within seconds of being thrown into the action, but it's obvious that you have to shoot and dodge the bad guys. I'd like to have checked out the instructions on how to play the game, but, alas, they were in Japanese, so I couldn't even hazard a guess at what they said, but I DID figure out that killing the sub-bosses gives you more time and, therefore, more life, because you don't actually have a health bar, per se; the time limit is your health bar... or so I think I picked up on, and this works by roughly forty seconds being deducted from the time limit each time you're hit, which, if the time limit hits zero, means you've lost. The game didn't make much sense at all, but it's frantic and, at the same time, relaxing enough to be considered good.
