Ramen Ninja is a simple title that borrows a lot from stealth action games like Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions. In fact, it's very much styled after Metal Gear Solid with enemy units having a radar like vision cone to alert them. The Ninjas movements are likewise similar, but the controls have been simplified.

The story is that your Ramen farm has been ransacked by the evil Udon Corp. and all your Ramen has been stolen. You as a Ninja must sneak in to their headquarters and take back what was once yours.

The Ninja has the ability to run, sneak, crawl on his belly and stomp. While these abilities are simple, the way the game is built around them is fairly smart. Crawling is the quietest movement the player can make. Sound in turn then escalates from sneak to run. Stomp is used to alert the guards to change their positions.

Simple stuff really, but with narrow passages and tricky timing, it does make for a fair challenge. At 20 levels, unfortunately the game isn't necessarily deep, but it offers some interesting levels to make up for this. It's a decent game for a quick playthrough.
