This game was very fun, but it did not lend itself well to a second play through. The game definitely had it's challenging moments. It is also very humorous and has a good audio track.

I love the graphics in this game; has an old-timey silent movie feel to it, especially when using the record option and the screen flickers like being played from a film reel. If you've played any of the clone games online you'll already know the main idea behind this to use clones of yourself to solve puzzles/get to the end of the level.
Winterbottom's addiction to pies is a nice silly premise to the game. The levels are challenging and keep you interested through the many levels. Definitely recommended!

One of the best arcade games ever!

This is one the funnest experiences i've ever had with an arcade game before. But this game is not for people who are afraid of a challenge. It is a very challenging game, but very fun. 10/10

Interesting puzzle game! I have tried some of the demo, and for me, this game reminds me of a black and white movie in a country-western movie house...with very unique music. The intro/menu music is quite haunting, and once you get into the game play, the music has a kind of old-west/mystery/suspense-type theme to is. The object of the game is to collect...well...pies. But, to get your pies, you'll have to use your puzzle-solving know-how to create clones of yourself in order to help you along the way. You can record your actions and use your clones to reach higher ground. But, keep in mind that you can only have a set number of clones in use at one time. The graphics are cartoon-like, but that actually is a benefit to the game, and so if you like puzzle solving-type games, this one might be for you. Not a bad deal for 800 MS points ($10).

Fantastic puzzle game, with a wonderful direction for its art design (Edward Gorey), and the soundtrack really fits well with the game, while being extremely 'catchy'.

P.B Winterbottom offers over 60 puzzles for gamers to solve, and satisfy your appetite while you're at it. Difficulty curve of the puzzles is rather high, but there are enough resources out there for even basic puzzle fans to play this game.

Chronoberry Pie

For those of us who have been waiting for a puzzle platformer as intriguing and fun as Braid, the wait is over....

The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom has the recipe for success; 1 part Braid, 1 part Edward Gorey, and 2 parts pie.

It is your duty to navigate Winterbottom and help him get his pudgy little hands on as much pie as possible. Some of these pies however, will be just out of reach. Fear not, like any good misadventure, you have come equipped with special abilities. Specifically the ability to manipulate time and space. You can use these powers to create clones of yourself and solve the puzzles to get all the pie you desire. As you progress through the story, the puzzles will begin to have restrictions to add to the difficulty. Many times the method will be sitting right in front of you and will end up feeling silly for not noticing it sooner. In the end, Winterbottom delivers on everything it intended to and will leave you pretty satisfied.

Pros:
The macabre inspired environment looks like something created by Edward Gorey.

The games soundtrack matches the environment perfectly. Together they create an amazing atmosphere.

The puzzles themselves are fun to solve. Unlike Braid, many of the puzzles have multiple solutions adding a bit of replay value.

25 bonus levels where you can challenge your friends on the leaderboards to see who has the fastest times.

Cons:
Challenge difficulty is not consistent. Level 3 is harder then 4 and 5 is easier then both of them.

Like any game you really enjoy you will find it ends too soon.

Lack of replay value.

Summary:
Winterbottom is a great game in every aspect. As far as puzzle platformers go, this is a top notch product. It would have been nice to have had more levels to complete, since it is a gaming experience that will leave you wanting more. But don't let that stop you from having a misadventure of your own.

Underwhelmed

The graphics and music are a fun style but the actual puzzles left me underwhelmed. The follow the style of creating clones to complete a section which just gets tedious after a while.

One of the best games to be released on XBLA for ages! This is what I have been saving my points for!

The trial is fantastic, teaching you everything you need to know - if you like the trial, you will love the game.

It's a puzzler where you use clones of yourself; switches; levers; platforms; trampolines; and even short recordings of yourself played back, in order to get all the pies on a level.

The graphics are gorgeous: looking like an old 50's film, the graphics are predominantly Black and White with only the pies being in colour.

There is the main levels to play through, and then bonus levels to try to clear within a certain time limit and using only a certain number of seconds recording time.

There are scoreboards to compare with all your friends, and plenty of levels to keep you going.

I'm sure this game will appeal to any puzzle fans, especially those that enjoyed Braid, as it has some similar concepts.

Fantastic!
