There are some memories that should remain memories. Reggie Jackson's candy bars. "Battle Of The Network Stars". Gary Coleman. And TMNT.

The real thing doesn't always stand up well to the memories. And while the turtles were a lot of fun to play back when every kid fought over who got to be (insert favorite Turtle here), it's not quite the same for me today. A true arcade classic back when arcades existed, TMNT has some sold graphics for it's time, and the co-op gameplay pushed it over the top. But for me, it just doesn't hold up. My online experience suffered from massive slowdown that made it unplayable (YMMV). If you're a big fan, there's nothing that I can say to make you *not* get this game, and you could certainly do a lot worse than picking this up. Just don't come crying to me if you find yourself weeping in a corner with the realization that "Small Wonder" isn't nearly as awesome as it used to be.

I loved the arcade version of the turtles and thats exactly what I get and plus I can play with my friends online. The achievements are a tough task(at least for me) adding more value to the game. If your a turtle fan, get the game.

Super short game, didn't find it that difficult. Inferior in almost every way to Turtles in Time, the SNES version. Not the XBLA version.

Be warned, it's based off the ARCADE version, not the NES one entitled "TMNT II: The Arcade Game". It's harder, it's shorter, and the controls are that great.

In the NES version, it was pretty easy to always pull off the dual button special attack for a one hit kill, not so much in this one. You'll find yourself button mashing more or less, and being 'shell-shocked' many times. The challenge is weakened as you never actually run out of lives, and you just have to restart a level at the very worst.

The game sounds frustrating, but it's actually worth the 400 points if you're looking for the nostalgia. Plus, it's got an awesome soundtrack that's likely worth the price alone.

This game is only good if you have fond memories about it. Doesn't hold a candle to Streets of Rage 2 and the likes. Too bad they didn't use the SNES version which is a great deal better.

A lot of mainstream reviews bashed this title for not aging well. For me, it's a fun, simple beat 'em up with fun characters, strong online play and a 4 player mode. 4 players, come on.

It's just like you remember at the arcades. Unfortunately this means that the additions to the NES port are missing. Still, it's made up for with online play and a great price. $5?

It still looks good too. The only thing that would be better is Turtles in Time, which XBLA is getting a remake of soon.

I only wish that EA and Konami would follow suit with The Simpsons Arcade Game.

If you get all the achievements for this game you've got too much time or are a fantastic button masher. No two ways around it this faithful port of the NES classic is hard. Fun though. :D Plus the difficulty is based on the fact that there didn't used to be such a thing as saves so when you have one continuous game and no diffculty it should be challenging.

An arcade beat 'em up that everyone can enjoy! If you want a good co-op experience, this is it, but beware, just like any other arcade game, it gets old very quickly... Unless you got four people to play with at all times, then this is as good as it gets!

I loved this game in the arcade, and being able to play this on-line was a dream come true. The only 4 player arcade game that could top this would be the simpsons one (WHEN WILL THEY LEARN?!?!). Just as great as it was in the older days of coin-op tieriny. And only $5?!?!?! Come on. So much better than most $5 and quite a few $10 ones. What are you waiting for?

A classic game that is only 400 to purchase. Same old awesomeness game with co-op online, what else is there not to love about it?

This game sure brings back the nostalgia, but it only lasts for so long. This game is great to play with friends over the only 4 player coop, but after you beat it a few times it gets old fast. It is definitely worth a try out though.

This game is Great! Seeing this title in the arcade made me jump with joy. For just 5$, You can live the experience all over again! It includes the Awesome single player along with 4 player co-op. I strongly recommend buying this title for the arcade.

The nostalgia factor alone for this title makes it worth the small price of 400pts. The look and feel brought back some great memories of the day when I would chuck quarters into the machine.

The game itself is fun, as it was back in the good ole days.

My big gripe is that the game is really short and the ability to endlessly continue doesn't do much for inspiring me to not go kamikaze and smash away.

Maybe the stages from the NES release of the game could have been added in, or maybe they could reset your score with every continue.

The bottom line is that I'm happy with the purchase and I would highly recommend it to anyone that enjoyed the arcade original.

A must own XBLA title.

This game was definitely programed to suck quarters out of the pockets of '80s children, what with the insanely cheap enemy AI... but for those of us who were there, we gladly filled the machine with our hard-earned pocket money.

The only set back, for me, is that the fun, after a few plays, kinda dies hard... but this is one of the best co-op titles on the Xbox LIVE Arcade, and a steal for only 400 Microsoft Points.

This is awesome. This is what I wanted off the Wiiware title and downloaded the wrong game. Give me Donatello any day of the year and battle all those annoying Mousers.

For 400 points, you can not go wrong here.

I could not begin to tell you how many hours I spent at this game at the local rollerrink. Not a whole lot has changed since I spent a mere $5 on this title. It's totally worth a buy, not only for the nostalga purposes, but also for the fact that it still holds up as an incredibly fun beat-em-up arcade side scroller.

This is an arcade classic. Back in the day, kids were playing this game all the time in the arcades and now it's on the 360 for only $5. You get a old fashioned arcade beat'em up with online co-op. Plus if you're old enough there's the nostalgia factor.

My only complaint is is that is a bit on the short side. But keep in mind...this was made for the arcades where most people never got through the game unless they were really good or had a lot of quarters.

TMNT is a very classic arcade game that many people would remember playing as a kid. The gameplay hasn't changed a bit. You get to play one of the four turtles and go through the levels to face off against Shredder. Now you can do 4-player co-op without having to scrunch around into a small cabinet as well as do it online. There's not much to say other then it's a classic beat 'em up. At 400 points, it's a steal.

This game was probably the most quarter nom-noming game of 1989. And paying only 5 dollars on a game i payed nearly 20$ worth of quarters in my earlier days makes me soopur happy. have fun playing :D

I got this game because it seemed like a fun coop game. It was. Based on a classic, this game features 4 player coops. Getting some friends together and beating the game is a blast. For 400points, I definitely recommend this. The only downside is it is short and no competitive modes.

Fun game but very short. The original was much harder so im glad they dumbed it down a little. 4 players can be each of the 4 turtles which makes it fun for a while but once you've beaten it a couple of times it gets boring.

I bought this title based on nostalgia alone, and I don't regret it. It was well worth the points to be able to play with friends over LIVE. However, TMNT really shows its age after playing it for a while. Limited attacks and a small variety of enemies brings this game down a couple of notches. It's still worth the points, but don't go in expecting a lot of depth.

As a child, I have sunk many many quarters into this game. Now being 25, this game is still immensely fun. I'm a fan of co-op. With TMNT having 4 player co-op, it even more fun to play with a few buddies.

It is a true port of a classic arcade game. Everyone must check it out. Now if Microsoft would release TMNT: Turtles in Time, I be in heaven.
