Family-friendly and great gameplay at a good price

A few key points on the game as experienced by my wife and me. Our daughter played a little bit as well, but she preferred Halo. :-D A great game at its current price point (800 MSP), even better when it was on sale a couple of months ago. If you're on the fence about buying it, just go ahead and do so.

The good

●Extensive build tree which makes for suprising depth in the game
●When your city gets really complex, you can assign Keflings to specific tasks. You can even assign where they would to drop off harvested resources.
●The pacing is what you want to be. You can blast through the game in a couple of hours, or you can obsessively craft your cities with care.
●You get to use your Xbox avatars.
●Your avatars can kick Keflings around (very therapeutic).
●Definitely family-friendly. Good times with young ones, but challenging enough to appeal to adults (such as me and my wife).
●Split-screen local coop!
●Avatar awards (winged helmet and pet dragon)!

The bad

●Your avatar and the Keflings will get stuck in some narrow spots (take note of this when planning where to put your buildings).
●No bears.
●It ends. No seriously, we were having so much fun with this game that we were kinda sad that we built everything that we needed and had no other objectives to aim for. Although, you can still play with your cities after you've finished everything.

Great game!!

I wrote this review for the contest for DLC.
I really enjoy this game its very fun. I love building new things and increasing the land space. Graphics are excellent and is a pretty unique game. I gave it 8 though because after a period of time it gets boring (if you did everything)

A laid back family ish game.

In this game you cannot die so you just get to enjoy the building of towns and helping people.
The game also has a pretty decent couch co op.
I recommend playing with the Mrs. ^^

Despite some weird glitches and annoyances, World of Keflings has been the only XBLA so far that made me lose track of time while playing.

Gets really addicting to meet requirements and build up your civilizations. Also not extremely easy, always good to have a challenge. Part of the difficulty, though, is managing the limited amount of Keflings you have to do certain jobs and sometimes it gets confusing and frustrating

A absolute blast!

A Kingdom for Keflings is a great game for playing co-op and relaxing with friends. A World of Keflings builds on the concept of creating a village for your Kefling friends to creating three full cities for them across the games worlds. But, you don’t have to do it alone. You can trail the Keflings to help you. They will harvest resources, transport items and build pieces for the structures. One of the new things in A World of Keflings is that you have a few larger Keflings who can even carry pieces of buildings and help build structures with you. These extra helpers really help speed things up in the game play because you don’t have to take so many trips back and forth to pick up the pieces to build. Instead you can focus on designing your towns.

The three game worlds each have their own unique resources and buildings. As you progress through the story you can even build traders who will bring in resources from the other worlds to build some of the most advanced and complex buildings. Because of this there is a lot more diversity to gathering all the necessary resources and upgrading them for each building. This really balances out with the new helpers because as the carry items for you it frees you up to move resources around as needed.

A World of Keflings has co-op which is great, like the original, to hang out with friends. They have also added a collectibles feature that requires you to trade special collectible items you build with your friends. As more people trade with you the more collectibles you can unlock. To get all of the achievements you’re going to have to share and trade with at least one or two friends.

A World of Keflings is a really relaxing and really funny. The main story took me a little over 6 hours but designing my three worlds to be perfect is going to take me many more weeks of moving, perfecting and painting. Plus I’ve got a big stack of musical cannons to setup into a giant chain of fun. I would highly recommend everyone check out A World of Keflings. It is a great way to kick off the Games for the Holidays on Xbox Live Arcade.
