MNC Rules

I even had my Avatar wear the MNC Logo shirt for quite a while.
For such a small price (800 MS Points/ 10€) you get the BIG Fun.

MNC ... what is it defined? I'd say, a comic style third person objective arena-based tower defense team shooter ... too much? Ok let's just stick to great fun.
Solid graphics, smooth controlling, a choice of 6 classes, all very unique but never hard to handle, very well done Combat Arenas that allow a wide variety of tactics for each team with one perfect goal, far away from pride or duty (booooooring) ... Yessss, MONEY, cold hard cash, actually a big ball of coins awaits the winning team.
For this game you'll need a hot trigger finger as well as tactical skills. Spend your money on Upgrades (weapons, class specific special moves, defense) or spawn some bots or install defense lasers/freezers/ ... you realize where this is going. I spent really LOTS OF HOURS online slaying myself through the Arenas ... keeping my bacon hot (MNC Insider, LOL).
And a nice FREE DLC ...

One bad thing about this game? Well, the Stadium Crowd looks like it's been ripped off a C64. But the rest is a good job done by a solid Unreal Engine.

Really, this is a great game that provides you hours of online battle MP fun. An Xbla Clasic I'd say.

Consider me fan. Playing it any Monday Night still ...

Get it is my advice, a clear 9 out of 10

Great game - great fun to play.

Five classes to choose from that you can customize to your style of play. The game is made for multi-player.

Free DLC!

The only problem I have with the matchmaking is the team make-up - I'm not sure it uses any type of "true skills" to determine teams - which at times can be unbalanced with one side dominating.

This does not take away from the great gameplay - part 3rd person shooter - part tower defense - makes for fun matches!

Churros & Bacon

I love Monday Night Combat, and this is why: There are plenty of different areas to play in (even more if you Download the free DLC) and tons of different ways to make your character fit your style of play.

The classes in this game are Assassin, Tank, Support, Assault, Gunner and Sniper.
Each class has it's specific strong point and weak point, and I suggest you Download the Free Trial and play online to see for yourself which class has which weakness.

You and your team have one objective, and that is to protect your moneyball. The moneyball has shields which can only be disabled by enemy bots, and after the shield is gone both enemy bots and enemy players can attack and damage it. Enemies who attack it don't do much damage by themselves but get 2 or 3 enemies and a couple of turrets on the moneyball damaging it and you'll have lost before you know what happened.

I heavily suggest you play the Free Trial of this game, as you get 30 minutes of online playtime to decide if you want to buy or not. To me, it's worth the 1200 MSP asking price. I gotta say it though... if it's on sale for cheaper BUY IT!

Any game with Bacon....

is going to be fun!

MNC is definitely a game worth buying if your enjoy arena combat style games whether they are PvP or Co-op. This comes with both. It is not a solo operation after the first handful of rounds, so get out of your mother's basement and go make a few friends. I just wish I had more time to play online with my pals when this came out. I am hoping it is still a regular event as I have more time off in the winter. I hear the DLC coming out (or is it already out now?) will be free. If so, then add a star to my review. Price is high but the over all quality is well done from the sounds to the game play and visuals.

Great Game!

Monday Night Combat (MNC) has of the most balanced class based combat. With 6 classes to play at and the option to make your own custom classes as you progress there is a character to suit anyone’s play style. Each class has unique weapons and abilities that can be upgraded as you play each match. The game clearly does not take things very seriously with bacon being one of the in game rewards. The announcer, Pitgirl and the mascot for the matches are funny.

Blitz mode pits you and up to 3 friends against waves of incoming enemies. The first few modes can be handled solo but for any of the harder ones you’ll want to have some help. The enemy bots that attack are fairly stupid but their abilities do vary by what wave it is. They tend to try and overwhelm you with sheer numbers and taking them out quickly is important. Blitz’s ten wave exhibition mode is a great place to try out each of the character classes. You get enough money to max out their abilities by the end of 9th wave and you can try out the different weapons and attacks on enemies of different sizes to get a good feel for how powerful each on is.

Crossfire is the 6 vs 6 multiplayer mode. It is fast paced but not overly hectic (for the most part). Like most team based shooters good communication and teamwork goes a long way to being successful. It also helps to have most of the classes represented in your team. Because of this playing with your friends is great. However, jumping in solo can still be fun as long as you keep in mind that you should be helping your team. The crossfire mode is really interesting. You have to both defend your base’s money ball while also escorting your team’s bots into the enemy base so they can drop the shields on your opponent’s money ball. Sure, you can play it like Team Deathmatch and just kill any enemies you see but it is much more rewarding and successful to work together. Remembering to use your abilities, the on map traps, upgrading your abilities and setting up turrets all take a little practice but once you get the hang of it things will start to flow smoothly.

Overall MNC is a really great game. The Blitz and Crossfire modes both let you level up your character so you can unlock custom classes and titles. If you like shooters MNC is worth checking out. It is well balanced and really nicely done. Plus there is bacon!
