Amazing game play!

Crossfire 2 takes the gameplay style from Crossfire and adds new enemies, more levels, new game modes, online scoreboards and an upgrade system similar to the one in Inferno. It is by far my favorite Radiangames title so far and I gave many of their other titles a 10/10! I was having so much fun that I literally played through the entire Conquest game mode in one sitting.

After completing the Conquest’s 60 levels it unlocks the Conquest Plus mode that takes you through the campaign again but with a more difficult setup. For both Conquest and Plus you have three difficult settings to choose from. While I enjoy this game play style in general Crossfire 2 takes it a whole step above any similar games with the upgrade system. As you progress you earn points to upgrade your ship that you can assign however you choose. For me that means more powerful weapons before more health. But on harder levels I can respect my ship and get more health if I need to. The larger boss type characters are a fun challenge that come more frequently later in the levels. There are a couple upgrades to pick up every once and a while with invulnerability and slow down. The slow down if fun because the music slows down to and as the speeds back up you get the audible warning as well.

There is also a Score Attack mode that reduces the frequency that you get your health restored. You get bonus points for completing the levels quickly and then when you finally get killed your score is posted to a global leaderboard. Each time you start a Score Rush match you get to setup your ships upgrades so you can try different strategies for surviving the longest and getting into the top of the leaderboard.

Frankly, there literally is not a thing I don’t love about Crossfire 2. The game play is as challenging as you want it to be with the different difficulty levels, and it even has local co-op if you have a friend who wants to play with you. If you have not already you should click that link at the top and download it already!
