Drum Studio

A really nicely down drum app/game. The graphics are nicely done and the facial expressions on the character as you play are really funny. There are a lot of options to customize the sounds of each pad of the drum set. Each one can be adjusted from a long list of available sounds that are broken into category by cymbal or tom type. Each customized drum setup can be saved for using again later. You also have the option to play with a controller if you don't have a drum set, and up to 4 people can play at once.

In addition to just playing you can record and play back your playing. You can also edit and save your recordings. The game also comes with some samples you can load and play along with.

My only issue with Drum Studio is that I have a Rock Band 2 drum peripheral with the optional 2 cymbals. The 4 pads and pedal work great but the two cymbals don't register correctly. As near as I can tell they are registering in game as both the pad and pressing on the d-pad (which controls the recording and playback). I ended up removing them to play Drum Studio because accidentally hitting them kept resetting my recording.

Overall, a great $1 game for playing drums. The customizations and recording options are great for older gamers and younger kids (like my 3 year old) can bang away and have fun.
