Being a Dawn of War fan I had to take a few minutes today at E3 2011 and play some Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team. The game is essentially a co-op twin stick shooter but since it is set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe there is tons of firepower and Orcs to use it on. The camera is an isometric view most of the time but does rotate to view almost behind you at a few points. I'm not normally a fan of not being able to control the camera but in this case it worked just fine. I think it helps that the camera is fairly high so you can see all around you pretty easily.
Before the game starts you have a Character selection that lets you pick from 4 distinct character classes. While the game does control like a twin stick shooter with your main gun you do also have special attacks, grenades and melee attacks. It works well in Kill Team because the game is all about destroying tons of enemies and doing it with style. It fits the Warhammer universe perfectly and is a lot of fun to play. The developers have done a good job making the game look like other Warhammer titles with a matching color scheme.
If you are looking for a game to play co-op with a buddy where you get to shoot a lot of enemies Kill Team looks to be a great fit. I had a great time with the demo and I'm looking forward to the release later this summer.
